A very sad time for us all, but a happy birthday to brother Don and a happy birthday remembrance of Donna. Here is Donna and her twin brother Don in 1934. These two wonderful people have touched so many lives in so many positive ways. Don, you are my idol for your love, courage, and tenacity. Donna, we miss you terribly. You are the idol of so many people who's lives you touched and blessed. God bless you both.

P.S. This is probably the only photo you've ever seen of Donna when she wasn't smiling broadly!

Happy Birthday Donna, and Don! =)
A sad time indeed. Donna and I always celebrated our bdays together by going out to lunch and a little shopping. It really made me miss her this year on my bday and hers. I feel so fortunate to have had such a wonderful stepmom. I miss her deeply. I wish Don a happy birthday, but I can only imagine what a hard day it must have been.
Hi John,
I just went into your blog today and told Don what you had written. It is such a beautiful tribute and Don is touched and humbled by your words. We think the world of you and are so grateful for the wonderful and loving life you gave to Donna. No one could have been happier than she was to find her true love. You know that, I just wish it could have lasted longer, but none of us knows when it is our last day. It is a wake up call to all of us to live each day as if it were our last and to tell our loved ones how much we love them every day. We know Donna is up there listening to all the good words and is so pleased that she made a difference and an impact on so many people's lives.
Love to you John,
From BJ and Don
PS the birthday went amazingly well, we had lunch at Black Angus where Don and Donna had their one on one lunches together, and we remembered her and talked about her and we know she was there with us.
