Happy Veterans Day & Happy Birthday Lori!

Lori was born on Veterans Day and for many years she thought everyone got the day off because it was her birthday! This year, these two important events occur on Sunday, and, unfortunately go largely unnoticed. Well not here. Today is the day to say "thank you" to a veteran -without this genre, we would not be free Americans. And Happy Birthday Lori, without whom we'd all have a big void in our lives. (have fun in Florida, girl!)

Wow, a birthday blog! Thanks, Pop! (Cute pics! Do you remember the name of your cat? Mine was "Tinkerbell")

PS look on our blog over the next couple of days. We will have lots of stuff to share from Florida!

I named my cat "Kitty." Thank God I have become a bit more creative since then!

Do any family members remember the legend of Tinkerbell?

After a long time of owning this little cat, friends of our parents, Ray and Sophie, came from out of town for a visit. Upon being introduced to Tinkerbell, Sophie lifted her tail and declared, "I do believe Tinkerbell is TinkerBILL!!"

That explained all the cat p*** smell around the house!

(P.S. I know this is technically "off-topic", but I hope it will rate a thumbs up anyway...HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORI, again!)
